Voting opened Friday for the quarterfinal round in the Des Moines Register's Beer Brackets, sponsored by the Iowa Taproom. Cast your ballots now; voting ends Wednesday at 8 a.m. with the unveiling of the semifinal brews.

• West O Beer's Pilsner vs. 515 Brewing's O.J. IPA 
• Pulpit Rock Brewing's Heavy Lifter lager vs. Keg Creek Brewing's Citrafiable pale ale 
• Franklin Street Brewing's Drugstore Cowboy IPA vs. Fenders Brewing's Bridge Road brown ale 
• Back Road Brewing's Sunny Daze blonde ale vs. Fox Brewing's Foxy Blonde, a Belgian blonde ale

The regions. This year’s brackets are broken down into the four elements of beer: water, hops, malt and yeast. 

Beer Brackets tasting event. We’re bringing back the Beer Brackets Final Pour tasting event from 4-6 p.m. on March 23 at the Iowa Taproom. This year’s tasting plans to feature raffle prize giveaways and special guests from the Iowa beer industry. RSVP here.

Beers were selected by Iowa Taproom experts with assistance from the Register, and most can be found on tap throughout the year at the beer hall's 215 E. Third St. location in Des Moines.
