weekend, AMERICAN CRAFT BEER’S LAST WEEKEND PICKS OF 2018

2019 is but days away…and you’re already in celebration mode. Well good, because we’ve got you covered. From the best New Year’s Eve events to the weekend’s hottest movies and cutting edge TV – we’ve got your back big-time.  Plus we’ve a special New Year’s beer pick for you too, because you’re gonna need something serious.

Where To Celebrate New Year’s

Clearly Times Square is the most iconic American destination to celebrate New Years but there are thousands of cool places all around the world where people will be gathering to see in 2019

Places like…

Sydney, Australia – Australia’s largest city is the first major international hub to greet the New Year at midnight. And the fireworks display over Sydney Harbor with the Opera House and Harbor Bridge in the background is even better “Down Under.” Plus the craft beer scene is booming over there right now. And, oh yeah, it’s summer!

But Reykjadalur is an almost otherworldly destination. It’s close to Reykjavík (that’s the city you’d need to be flying into). And it’s home to a dramatic spring warmed river where you can welcome in 2019 while drifting downstream through a towering glacial gorge under the Northern Lights…Plzzzzzzzzzzz!

Edinburgh, Scotland – No city in the world is more committed to New Year’s than Edinburgh, Scotland. After all, it’s where Scotsman Robert Burns composed Auld Lang Syne. New Year’s in Edinburgh is a four day non-stop celebration, complete with a torchlight parades, concerts everywhere and a massive open-air party on Princes Street that is legend!

Maui, Hawaii – Any time is a good time in Hawaii but New Year’s Eve in Maui offers something for everyone. Crowds flock to the beaches to ring in the New Year under the stars.  But the real celebration begins the next morning for those who head to the summit of Haleakala to celebrate 2019 with one of the most spectacular sunrises in the world.

On The Big Screen – When we think New Year’s movies, we think blockbusters and if you’ve not yet seen the new animated Spider-man installment New Year’s weekend is a perfect time. Classic storytelling and striking animation propel Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, an unpretentious pleasure that some critics are calling the best Spiderman movie ever!

TV Time – It’s all about watching the ball drop this weekend – so pick your poison. Plan on ringing in the New Year with a multitude TV faces because you’ll have plenty to choose from. Ryan Seacrest, Carson Daly, Steve Harvey, Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen will be hosting countdown specials that will air live New Year’s Eve and we suggest you check in on all of them!

We’ll be greeting the New Year with something brilliant from Firestone Walker that marks the brewery’s 22 years in the biz. Firestone Walker XXIi Anniversary Ale is a deft combination of past Firestone Walker barrel-aged hits that have been blended together into something entirely new by  seasoned artisans from the local Paso Robles winemaking community.
