2019, AMERICAN CRAFT BEER’S FIRST WEEKEND PICKS OF 2019On the Big Screen – DC Comic’s latest big screen superhero flick debuted over the holidays to painfully bad reviews. Yet in spite of all its bad press, Aquaman, starring Game of Throne’s Jason Momoa in the title role, has gone on to become a huge international success. According the Pasadena Weekly “Aquaman delivers a gonzo, highly inventive piece of entertainment that has a surprisingly fresh vision overseen by director James Wan.”

TV Time & Streaming – Directed by Ben Stiller (yep that Ben Stiller) Showtime’s Escape at Dannemora is a thrilling and smartly drawn eight episode series based on the headline-making true story of a 2015 prison break in upstate New York. The audacious escape spawned a massive manhunt for two convicted murderers played by Benicio del Toro who as usual is brilliant and Paul Dano who’s also compelling. But the biggest surprise is an almost unrecognizable Patricia Arquette as married female prison employee with whom they both became sexually entangled and aided their escape.

2019, AMERICAN CRAFT BEER’S FIRST WEEKEND PICKS OF 2019THE ACB WEEKEND BEER PICK

With colder weather coming east this weekend we’ll be tapping something hefty from San Leandro California-based Drake’s Brewing to help temper things. Dank, dark and aggressively hop-forward, Drake’s Dark Wing IPA is a 7.5% ABV cold-weather India Pale Ale that will hold its own up against this weekend’s plummeting temperatures.
