One positive thing I noticed about the new Deschutes Brewery rebrand I wrote about the other day is that the brewery has changed its date stamp:

The date is now “packaged on” instead of the former “best by” date! This is a huge step and one I applaud, regardless of my other concerns about rebranding issues. With the “best by” date before, I would have to try to extrapolate backwards to figure out when it might have been bottled—three months before? Four?

Now not only is the “packaged on” date present, but it also helpfully says “Freshest within 4 months.” This is great, and a definite change for the better.
