Beer Run – New Raspberry Hybrids, Spring Pale Ales And Smoked Lagers!

weekend, Beer Run – New Raspberry Hybrids, Spring Pale Ales And Smoked Lagers!

Although we’re beginning to see more spring releases, it’s still winter out there and we’ve five buzz-worthy weekend drinking directions to help ease you from winter into spring.

Firestone Walker Goes Wild (Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker has a long history of wild ale blends, all of them nurtured at their Buellton, California, Barrelworks Tasting Room and Blending Center.  But none of them have ever been bottled nor have they seen nationwide distribution until now.

The first of five bottled Barrelworks wild ale releases for 2018 is the fifth iteration of a signature wild ale from Firestone Walker’s Barrelwork’s division. Bretta Rosé Batch No. 005 begins as an aged Bretta Weisse base beer that was then marinated with fresh raspberries in oak foeders for more than four months.

Pacific Rain Now In Cans (Eugene, OR) – Last year Ninkasi introduced a new year-round release that celebrates the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Brewed with water from Oregon’s McKenzie River, and fueled on Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic, and Nugget hops, Ninkasi Pacific Rain is a crisp 5.4% Northwest Pale Ale that’s now more transportable and available in cans.

Spring Smoker (Boston, MA) – Boston Beer is returning to an almost forgotten style, the Rauchbier (!), as part of spring’s new Samuel Adams American Craft Lagers Variety Pack. Samuel Adams Smoke Lager is a 5% ABV smoke-forward take on an increasingly rare German brewing tradition.weekend, Beer Run – New Raspberry Hybrids, Spring Pale Ales And Smoked Lagers!

From Limited To Unlimited (Boulder, CO) – Upslope Brewing is making an experimental IPA something that its fans can enjoy all year long, even though its hop profile will change from year to year. Pumped with Denali, Azacca, Galaxy, and Vic Secret hops, Upslope’s 2018 Experimental India Pale Ale is a 7% ABV exploration of distinct hop combinations that takes the IPA tradition to less travelled places.

All Bow To The Exalted One! (Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing has just shipped the first release from their new Hop Worship Seasonal IPA Series. Brightly aromatic with elegant floral notes, Stone Exalted IPA is a 7% ABV seasonal India Pale Ale that’s all about the Citra and Loral hops!
