Wood-aged Belgian blends, barrel-aged exotics and limited releases dominate our last collection of brewed wonders for June…And we’ve five high-octane craft beer directions that you’re gonna want to chase down as we enter into summer.

A ‘Next Chapter’ Stout (Paso Robles, CA) – With trademark in-hand, Silva Brewing owners, Chuck and MJ Silva, have set out to write the next chapter of an award-winning beer that was originally brewed in 2010 while Chuck was still brewmaster at San Diego’s Green Flash Brewing. Aged in a variety of rye whiskey barrels their 12.6% ABV Silva Stout is the newest take on a craft beer that has already become a brewed legend.

Rosé Colored Glasses (Bloomington, IN) – Upland Brewing is celebrating their 20th Anniversary with a new oak aged sour… A collaboration of sorts with neighbors, Oliver Winery, who Upland traded a few cases of beer for oak barrels back in 2006, Upland Oak & Rosé starts with Basis, the brewery’s blonde base beer that was then aged on Chambourcin grapes to a tart and sweet 8% ABV finish reminiscent of dry rosé wine.

Get Juiced! (Newark. DE) – The multi-state based brewing operation, Iron Hill which is actually made up of 12 separate brewpubs locations up and down the East Coast, including in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey, has a new summer seasonal that they argue looks like OJ but delivers a buzz. Hopped to the max and tempered with fresh oranges, Iron Hill Hopicana is a 6.6% ABV India Pale Ale that drinks like a cold glass of fresh-squeezed beer.
