Wow! We are already a few days away from August, the last quarter of the year! Have you gone to East Forty (Blue Springs), Callsign Brewing (NKC), or New Axiom (Lee's Summit) yet? They're open!

Also, do you have your tickets to the beer festivals in August - Hip Hops Hooray and Unico Microbrew Fest (both August 11th) and SEC Beer Fest in Columbia, MO on August 25th (some of our local breweries will be there *cough* City Barrel, Colony, Boulevard, Crane * cough*)!!

* Happy Basset TWO year anniversary!!! Celebrate all day starting at 11am
* Grilled Cheese festival at Berkely Riverfront Park (need tickets!) 11am-4pm
* 31 Heroes release at Torn Label at 4pm - a portion of the proceeds at the taproom release and in distribution will go to Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).
* Cinder Block tailgate and watch party at Ruins Pub 1-5pm (need tickets!)

Sunday -

Parlor KC

Last Saturday I had the amazing opportunity to try out Parlor. A new restaurant concept opening THIS FRIDAY in the Crossroads - 17th and Locust, behind Double Shift ;) It was quite the experience! Seven different restaurants to choose from, two full service bars (one upstairs and one downstairs), several areas to relax, an awesome patio upstairs, and beautiful murals throughout. I had a great time, to say the least. The food. WOW! Incredible. There is something for everyone's tastes there, even my kids' who can be pretty picky. Let's start with the downstairs. When you walk in you are greeted with lovely hosts but also great sitting spaces to just hang out, relax, enjoy. To the right is the living room area.
