Beer Circus In London (United Kingdom) – Lagunitas s bringing its famous Beer Circus to Flat Iron Square by London Bridge this Saturday the 18th, and it’s not to be missed if you happen to be across the pond. Described as a “magical selection of brews paired with a whirling frenzy of freaktacular entertainment,” (we couldn’t make this stuff up…), the combination of beer with circus acts, burlesque and some big music seems like a perfect Saturday to us. And if you need more convincing, all the profits from tickets are being donated to the Wild at Heart Foundation that funds animal welfare projects throughout the world. We’re convinced!
On the Big Screen – This weekend’s most interesting movie opening (at least for dog-lovers) also happens to be spectacular in its scope and vision. An epic adventure set in the last Ice Age, ALPHA tells a visually stunning story that shines a light on the origins of man’s best friend. David Fear at the Rolling Stone calls it a “coming-of-Ice-Age parable you didn’t know you really needed.”
Beer & BBQ Heaven (Seattle, WA) – Few things pair better with beer than smoked meats and this weekend there will be a pairing made in heaven up in the Pacific Northwest. This Saturday August 18th Seattle will be home to the ultimate beer and barbeque extravaganza! The Washington Beer BBQ will feature a mind-blowing array of smoked meat cooked to ‘fall off the bone’ perfection and a palate pleasing selection of 100+ Washington craft beer on tap…so be there.
