Busch beer is objectively bad. But the beer promotion Busch is running right now is very, very good.

Busch partnered with the National Forest Foundation to save America's wooded lands by planting more trees. Why? Busch beer, so Busch says, tastes better when enjoyed in the great outdoors. If you buy a specially marked "Outdoors" case of Busch before the end of the year, a portion of the proceeds will go to the NFF to plant trees. If you don't skip Busch's pre-roll ad on YouTube, it will donate a dollar to the NFF.

Now, Busch is giving away free beer if you go take a hike in the woods. In National Forests across the U.S., the company hid six golden medallions in trees. Then, it released clues (GPS coordinates) as to how to find the medallions on its Twitter account this week. It looks like three have been found so far, in New York, Nevada, and Montana. The promotion period runs until November 1.

The six people who find medallions are rewarded with a year's supply of Busch beer or $480, depending on where they live. As for all the other people who fail to find the medallions? Well, they get to enjoy the bliss of their own woodsy adventure.

So go take a hike; there are 193 million acres of National Forests out there. And do it before climate change destroys all things beautiful and good in the great outdoors.
