Flying Saucer Draught Emporium, the craft beer bar in downtown St. Louis, will close toward the end of September.
In a Facebook post Sunday afternoon, the restaurant's ownership said the restaurant and bar would close Sept. 26 after five years of business.
Flying Saucer, at 900 Spruce Street, was a popular destination before and after St. Louis Cardinals home games.
"We are going to make the most of our remaining time here with you all, serving world-class beer and cheering on the Cardinals and our Beerknurds," the Facebook post said.

Flying Saucer is a Texas-based chain founded in 1995 by Shannon Wynne, whose late father, Angus Wynne Jr., created Six Flags St. Louis and other theme parks. Including the St. Louis location, the chain has 15 stores, with six in Texas.
Flying Saucer operates on the first floor of the Cupples 9 building, which is owned by Cupples Nine LLC. The building has an appraised value of $3.3 million.
Given its proximity to Busch Stadium and the Enterprise Center (formerly Scottrade Center), the space could be backfilled soon with another restaurant or bar concept.
Flying Saucer may have suffered from increased competition in the beer industry, with more craft breweries opening in the St. Louis area each year.
Through the first six months of this year, there were 6,655 active breweries in the U.S., up from 5,562 during a comparable timeframe last year, according to the Brewers Association.
The St. Louis region is home to more than 70 craft beer makers of varying scale.
