Lawson’s Finest opens new brewery, restaurant and taproom

In spite of more than 7000 currently online in the US, we continue to receive new brewery announcements almost daily…Unfortunately with more breweries in operation than ever before, we’re increasingly learning of closings as well.

Lawson’s Finest Liquids Opens New Destination Taproom

Karen and Sean Lawson’s popular craft brewery, Lawson’s Finest Liquids, has officially opened the doors to their new Waitsfield location which as we’ve reported isn’t far from their original brewing hub in Vermont’s scenic Mad River Valley.

A huge upgrade over Lawson’s original 7 barrel Warren VT facility, which will now remain open to function as a more experiment pilot operation, their new brewery affords the company a 30 barrel capability.

In an April blogpost Sean Lawson explained that the company also planned to continue brewing their uber-popular Sip of Sunshine IPA and Super Session beers at Two Roads Brewing in Connecticut now and in the future.

“We’ve hoped from the beginning that our Sip of Sunshine IPA brewed at Two Roads could get to the big Northeast beer markets that are nearby, but people in Vermont and Connecticut are drinking it faster than we can make it!”

Lawson’s Finest Liquids’ now open venue was built to wow, and it delivers.

Constructed with all Vermont stone and locally-honed timber, Lawson’s new home features a grand hall-style central room complete with fireplace, that gives way to an artisan taproom, a kitchen featuring local meats and cheeses, communal picnic tables, and an outdoor beer garden.

Last week Co-owner Mark Larson took to social media to share the unfortunate new….

It is with a very heavy heart that I must inform you that FDBC is no more. This was not my choice and it is devastating. I have enjoyed the past 6 years immensely and I wish everyone the best.” Eater has reached out to Falling Down Beer Company for more information regarding the closure.
