Arby's has released a ton of cool sandwiches in the past, like their recent sandwich topped with curly cheese fries and their deep fried turkey sandwiches. Now, the chain is testing a sandwich that beer fans will love.
As Food & Wine reports, Arby's is releasing two sandwiches that feature "beer can chicken." The aptly named Original Beer Can Chicken Sandwich features beer-marinated chicken with melted cheddar cheese, crispy onions, bacon, lettuce, tomato and a garlic aioli on a toasted roll.
The Tall Boy Sandwich contains the same ingredients as the original, but it also includes smoked ham and a crispy chicken fillet.
While Arby's chicken is marinated in Miller High Life beer prior to cooking, the traditional way to make beer can chicken is to place a chicken on top of a can of beer and roast the whole thing together in the oven. The resulting dish is a chicken that's moist, with a slight hoppy taste.
While Delish reached out to Arby's and hadn't yet received a response by the time of publication, the chain told Food & Wine that the sandwiches are being tested in Minneapolis, Augusta, and Tulsa and that they will be on menus until December 23. Per Brand Eating, the sandwich is being sold for $5.49 on its own or for $7.49 as part of a meal.
Sooooooo...Who's hungry?
