It’s late November and breweries are cranking out winter offerings…And we’ve five intoxicating craft beer directions that you might want to chase down as we look to Thanksgiving’s arrival.
Look At That Man Go! (Novato, CA) – Moylan’s Brewing has just shipped the fourth beer in its rotating Seasonal IPA Series. Moylan’s ManGo Crazy is a 4.7% ABV Session IPA with lush aromas of mango, papaya, passionfruit, and a light malt body that helps to accentuate its hop flavors.
Drinking Cookies (Los Angeles, CA) – Angel City Brewery is kicking off the winter season with a beer brewed to celebrate a beloved holiday sugar and spice cookie that was born in France but quickly gained popularity all across Europe before migrating to the states. Angel City Speculoos Cookie Beer is a 9% ABV Strong Ale brewed to recreate the cookie’s flavor by combining caramel malt, honey malt, biscuit malt and brown sugar along with a closely guarded blend of nutmeg, ginger, star anise, white pepper, clove and cinnamon spices.
Mod Squad (Durango, CO) – Ska Brewing is returning a popular Mod Project Series release that was first introduced in 2017. Tempered by an abundance of fragrant Citra hops which complement it’s sweet apple blossom aromatics, Ska Sour Apple Gose is a 5.1% ABV Sour with soft honey notes and a fresh lemon tartness.
Green Man Does A Guns N’ Roses Homage Beer (Asheville, NC) – Green Man Brewery recently unveiled its second beer in their Hazy Homage Series, themed beers that reference favorite bands and their songs. Named after a popular Guns N’ Roses ballad, Green Man Cold November Haze is a triple dry-hopped IPA that is best described as refreshingly hoppy with fruity, earthy characters and subtle malt notes.
A Tarty Blonde (Ashville, NC) – On November 24th Hi-Wire Brewing will be releasing the latest from its Sour & Wild Ale program at both of its taprooms. With delicate tones of ripe peaches that quickly give way to a moderate sourness and soothing Brett character, Hi-Wire Peach Sour is a 9.5% ABV tart Blonde Ale which was barrel-aged on 1lb per gallon of fresh peaches for more than 19 months.
