Panic! At the Disco will be launching their new IPA at the show this weekend in New Jersey, as reported by Kerrang. Fans of the band attending the Pray For The Wicked tour will be able to taste the limited edition beer, cleverly named IP!ATD, at the Newark show.

Produced with local Asbury Park Brewery, the beer is described as an “American IPA brewed in collaboration with Brendon Urie, with a strong malt backbone and a big hop finish”.

The brewery explained that frontman Brendon Urie wanted to work with a local brewery that had close connections to the Asbury Park music scene, and that “what resulted was a unique IPA inspired by Brendon’s specs; bold and earthy, like a West Coast IPA, but juicy and citrusy, lIke an East Coast IPA”.

The band and the brewery’s connection goes beyond a mutual love of craft beer, as Bob McLynn, the co-founder of Panic! At the Disco’s management, Crush Management, is an investor in the brewery.

After the show, the beer will be available at the Asbury Park Brewery tasting room for a limited time. The brewery also produces varieties of stout, lager and their own IPA.

The band, whose only remaining member is frontman Brendon Urie, is famous for songs such as I Write Sins Not Tragedies and High Hopes. They will be touring the UK later this year.
