Frankenmuth store and brewery museum to close at the end of the year

FRANKENMUTH, Mich. – The Lager Mill Beer Store and Brewery Museum is closing its doors at the end of the year.

Any gift certificates should be used before Dec. 31 as the store attempts to liquidate inventory.

A post on the store's Facebook page says the Board of Directors of the Frankenmuth Historical Association made the decision due to "decline of financial profitability causing the building to become a maintenance burden on the association."

The Board of Directors have not yet determined how the Brewing Museum and historical artifacts will be preserved and shared into the future, but intend to meet with founding supporters to help guide their decisions so an important part of Frankenmuth’s history won’t be lost and can continue to be shared.
