AMERICAN CRAFT BEER’S LATE JANUARY WEEKEND PICKS – 2019

2019 is ON…and you’re ready for some fun. Well good, because from the nation’s coolest beer events to movies, music and cutting edge TV – we’ve got your back big-time.  Plus we’ve another weekend beer pick for you too, because we know you’ll be drinking.

Boardwalk This! (Asbury Park, NJ) – The 7^th annual Asbury Park BeerFest returns to the Jersey Shore’s historic Convention Hall this weekend and it’s ALWAYS a good time. Sponsored by WRAT, this year’s two-day (Jan 26-27) three-session gathering will feature nearly 70 of the region’s best breweries and as usual everybody will be bringing in their good stuff.

On The Big Screen – This weekend’s most intriguing movie Serenity brings together two Academy Award winners, Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, for daringly original, sexy, stylized thriller… McConaughey stars as a fishing boat captain leading tours off a tranquil, tropical enclave who’s quiet life is shattered, when his ex-wife (Hathaway) tracks him down with a desperate plea for help. And that plea is for McConaughey to kill her abusive husband and feed him to the sharks.

Big Beer In A Small State (Providence, RI) – The 7^th annual Rhode Island Brew Fest is back with a vengeance this weekend and this year it’s at a brand new venue! On January 26^th join thousands of beer lovers at the WaterFire Arts Center in Providence, for more than 175 amazing brewed offerings from 55 of the region’s most exciting brewers. The two session afternoon and evening beerganza will also feature non-stop live music and huge selection of artisan foods so you don’t want to miss this!

 

THE ACB WEEKEND BEER PICK

With more snow moving east this weekend we’ll be tapping a seasonal from Boston Beer that, at least for now, has the perfect name. Brewed with a golden wheat and a special spicing process similar to dry-hopping techniques, Samuel Adams Cold Snap is a crisp, refreshing 5,3% ABV Belgian‐style White Ale with a floral and spicy character that compliments but never overpowers.
