Renegade Brewing Ventures Out

Renegade, Renegade Brewing Ventures Out

Looks like Renegade Brewing will be venturing into the world of investment capital. And with today’s announcement that they’d formed a strategic alliance with Silver Fox Partners is a family office investment firm founded in 2017 by former Xerox CEO/Chairman Anne Mulcahy, will be upping their game.

Renegade was founded by Brian O’Connell in 2011 at a time when there were only eight breweries that called Denver home.

Their first brewery and taproom in Denver’s Arts District on Santa Fe, fast became its own destination and started racking up awards including Best Neighborhood Brewery in 2012 and Best Taproom Ambiance in 2013 from Westword as well as Best New Brewery in 2012 from 5280 Magazine.

And after taking a bronze medal for the Imperial Stout category at the 2013 Great American Beer Festival, expansion seemed inevitable. And in 2014, Renegade expanded into a larger production facility, just eight blocks south of the original facility which along with their original taproom now serves as their home.

And now with a cash infusion from Silver Fox (the specific terms of this deal were, as usual, not disclosed) it appears that Renegade Brewing is preparing up their ante significantly.

This from Renegade’s Brian O’Connell….

“Renegade has been a fast-growing brand over the past six years in a competitive marketplace. We are thrilled to have a partner that can help us grow to the next level and reach even more Renegades.

From our early discussions it was clear that Anne and Silver Fox Partners were aligned with our company values and goals, from our beers to our employees all the way down to our Tap 4 Tap program. This partnership will grow our brand without changing our values and solidifies Renegade in the market as an independent craft brewery.”
