See Inside Saint Arnold’s New Cathedral-Inspired Beer Garden and Restaurant

Saint Arnold Brewing Co. built a cathedral to beer, and it’s officially open to the public today after a week-long soft opening. The metal structure takes cues from its industrial neighborhood, with dramatic views of the Houston skyline from the kid- and dog-friendly exterior. Outside, it’s all picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, ceiling fans, and bocce courts with table-side service.

Inside, the gothic-inspired space features LED-lit stainless art depicting the brewing process, and mural-covered “chapels,” or nooks with tables and dramatic paintings from local artists. There’s also space devoted to the members of the Saint Arnold Society, whose free-beer-for-life mugs hang on the wall.

The new full-service restaurant will be open seven days a week, serving up from-scratch items like pizzas, pretzels, and fried pickled green tomatoes. The Saint Arnold will continue to offer tours of its brewing facility next door.
