Great American Beer Festival Is Back — Tickets Go On Sale Aug. 1

Tickets go on sale next month for the 37th annual Great American Beer Festival, returning to Denver September 20-22. The three-day festival’s general admission costs $85 and includes access to more than 4,000 beer samples, educational seminars, and entertainment. Last year, tickets sold out in just over four hours.

GABF brings 800 breweries from around the country together under one roof at the Colorado Convention Center. This year, for the first time, brewers will be arranged alphabetically around the festival hall. Attendees can map their tasting routes and also visit a new collaboration beers booth and a section dedicated entirely to meeting brewers.

At the festival, brewers also compete in the GABF Awards, which doles out gold, silver, and bronze medals coveted by the craft beer community. Over 100 beer styles are judged for the competition, with new styles introduced yearly. New this year, “juicy or hazy” pale ales and IPAs will be judged, as well as contemporary American-style pilsners, classic Australian-style pale ales vs. Australian-style pale ales, and goses vs. contemporary goses. Last year, 37 Colorado breweries took home medals.
