A Bar Dedicated to Blue Moon Heads to the Strip

Another beer bar makes its way to the Strip, this time an ode to all things Blue Moon. The new Blue Moon Bar at Planet Hollywood Resort debuts this June next to the Zappos Theater, where Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, the Backstreet Boys, Lionel Richie, and Florida Georgia Line perform their resident shows.

Of course, the star of this bar — Blue Moon’s flagship beer, Blue Moon Belgian White, originally created in 1995 when the brewery’s brewmaster wanted to create a classic Belgian wheat beer. Valencia orange peel and a touch of coriander give Blue Moon its flavor. Fun fact: originally, Blue Moon was called Bellyslide, and earned its name after someone commented, “You know, a beer that tastes this good comes around only once in a blue moon.”

Seasonal beer-based cocktails also make an appearance.

The bar and lounge features video poker machines and televisions for all the big games.

The Zappos Theater sits in the middle of the Miracle Mile Shops.

Las Vegas already has Beer Park from Budweiser and two bars dedicated to Goose Island beers at the Hard Rock Hotel and T-Mobile Arena.
