It’s always fun keeping up with the new beer releases at this time of year because they can all be so unbelivably different. And here are some recent summertime releases that definately caught our attention.

Thai Dyed And Certified (Boulder, CO) – Upslope Brewing has returned a popular summer seasonal that draws inspiration from all around the world. Brewed using Belgian Wit yeast and hopped like an American IPA Upslope Thai Style White IPA is a 6.5% India Pale Ale that’s infused with seven Asian-inspired spices.

They’ve Got The Funk (Austin, TX) – Last week Jester King released a new blend that’s a fruity spinoff of Funk Metal a sour barrel-aged stout that they crafted earlier. Funk-forward and re-fermented with Balaton Cherries Jester King Cherry Funk Metal is a 9.5% ABV blended Sour/Wild Ale that’s available now in 750ml bottles.

Raging Raccoons (San Leandro, CA) – Drake’s Brewing has a new West Coast-style IPA that’s unusually named and coming your way. With a lighter grist bill of only 2-row and a touch pale toasted oats and its big citrus and melon hop aroma, Drake’s Foraging Raccoon IPA is a 7.5% India Pale Ale that’s both complex and unassuming at the same time,

An All-Star Offering (San Diego, CA) –  In 2014, AleSmith released .394, an original San Diego-stle Pale Ale that was named for the batting average at which the late Tony Gwynn, San Diego Padres Allstar and Hall of Famer, finished his 1994 season.  In 2015 the brewery released a 9% ABV “Imperial” version of the original but it was only available locally. This month AleSmith’s Hall of Fame Imperial San Diego Pale Ale .394 is being released nationally and it’s coming 22oz bottles adorned with Gwynn’s Hall of Fame signature.

, 6 Hot Weather Craft Beers That SurpriseA Dave Matthews Band Beer  – (Crozet, VA) – Brewed (we think) in celebration of the Dave Matthews Band 25th Anniversary, Starr Hill has released something special that will wear well at rock concerts or just working around the yard. Dry-hopped with German hops and deep golden in color Starr Hill Warehouse Pils is a 5.5% ABV German Pilsner that makes it’s way to retail this summer as part of their seasonal variety 12-pack and their Heavy Rotation Series.

As Gose Asheville, So Gose The Nation (Asheville, NC) – Hi-Wire Brewing has a new summer seasonal that’s primed for summer and available in 16oz cans. Hi-Wire Citra Gose is 4.2% limited release with big tropical notes that offset the beers salty tartness.
