beer, 5 Big ‘Summer’ Craft Beers To ‘Fall’ ForSummer’s days are numbered and we’ll soon be transitioning to fall… And with that in mind, we’ve a number of interesting new beer releases guaranteed to ease you through the changing seasons.

Into The Woodlands (Atlanta, GA) – The Woodlands is home to SweetWater’s small batch barrel-aging program and hundreds of wood vessels filled with everything from blackberry sours to Belgian style ales aging on oak.  And they’ve finally released something new. Approximately three years in the making and recently blended with Georgia grown blackberries, SweetWater Belgian Rose is a tart 7% ABV Wild Ale that was aged in Cabernet and Merlot barrels full of bacteria and yeast.

Unveiled, Uncorked & Uncompromising (Ft Collins, CO / Asheville, NC) – New Belgium recently debuted the first release from their highly anticipated Wood Cellar Reserve small batch series and it’s only available at their Asheville and Ft Collins breweries. New Belgium Le Kriek Noir is a 7.3% ABV blend of Kriek Lambic from Belgium’s Brouwerij Oud Beersel and New Belgium’s 2016 Transatlantique Kriek, aged for almost three years in the original red wine barrels that the brewery started its sour program with way back in 1998.

Back To Back To Back To Black (Newport, OR) – Last week Rogue Ales (& Spirits) rolled out something enormous – so know that you’ve been served. Brewed using grains grown at Rogue Farms and aged in Rogue’s Dead Guy Whiskey-soaked oak barrels, 2017’s Rolling Thunder Imperial Stout is humongous 14% ABV rich black Imperial that will ready you for the changing season.

Better Ruby Red Than Dead (Crozet, VA) – Just as summer’s leaves will soon to give way to fall’s changes, more red IPA’s are making their way on to shelves and Starr Hill has a promising new one. Harmoniously hoppy and unapologetically bold, Starr Hill’s Resinate Imperial Red IPA is a 7.7% ABV deep amber Imperial that’s perfect with autumn drawing closer.
