Beer Cap MapPart of the obsession with craft beer is the prospect of finding something new to try. To help celebrate your favorite beers or breweries, many collect the bottle caps.

But those caps just pile up if you aren’t able to find a creative way to use them.

Knowing there are lots of readers out there, I had to include some reading material on my list of gift ideas for craft beer beginners. And it wasn’t easy to decide on which one.

So I went with a book that’s fun to read and can be used as a reference book in the future.

Growler Upgrade

Cost: $45 and up

There are so many growlers to choose from and most of us have a handful of them from our favorite breweries. It’s fun to have one with a cool logo on it.

For someone new to craft beer, it would be even better to get a nice upgrade to the classic glass growler.

These two options are on the opposite ends of the cost spectrum.

First up is the Stanley Classic Vacuum Insulated Growler. It’s the natural progression when you want something better than a glass growler. It will help protect the beer against light and temperature.

This means the beer remains fresh longer. This is the kind of growler that would be ideal for taking beer to an outdoor activity like camping.

The uKeg Pressurized Growler is a touch pricey but it allows the beer to remain under pressure and carbonated much longer.

And you can’t deny that it looks pretty fancy too.

It is for the person that loves getting growler fills but also wants to keep it protected for an extended period.

How much do you love the person you are shopping for? If you don’t mind stretching the budget a little, consider getting them a beer fridge.

It’s the fastest way to becoming a craft beer geek and prevents filling up the main refrigerator with beer. Because we need space for food too.

There are lots of options but this one can accommodate large bottles. Which is ideal for bombers and other large format bottles.

It is also nice enough to use in any room of the house.
