Here Kitty, Here Kitty (Kansas City, MO) – Boulevard Brewing is getting catty with their latest seasonal. Deep black and rich with bittersweet tones of chocolate, espresso, and toffee, Boulevard Tough Kitty Milk Stout is 5.5% ABV ode to the changing seasons, pumped with the finest rolled oats and lactose sugars to ensure a creamy, lingering finish.
Dissident Drinking (Bend, OR) – September marks Deschutes Brewing’s next Bond Street Series release, it’s an annual event, and one that’s always well worth waiting for. 2017’s The Dissident is an enormous 11% ABV Flanders-style Sour Brown Ale that’s brewed with cherries and aged in pinot and cabernet barrels. Defining!
Franklin Speaking (Philadelphia, PA) – Saint Benjamin Brewing is located in the historic carriage house of the now defunct Theo Finkenauer Brewery and they’ve a sessionable refresher that’s worthy. Brewed with New Zealand hops and just a touch of sea salt, Saint Benjamin Bayside is a sparkling 5.2% ABV Belgian-style Farmhouse Ale, rich with a distinctive sweet malt that gives way to a surprisingly dry yet fruity finish.
Cape Made (Cape May, NJ) – Cape May Brewing has a new Barrel Aged Series release inspired by the ghost of Thomas Higbee who is said to haunt the coastal beach region. Cape May Higbee is a well-rounded and approachable 10% ABV Golden Sour that was aged to perfection for seventeen months in red wine barrels.
You Say You Want A Revolution (Chicago, IL) – Like it or not, summer’s leaves will soon be giving way to fall’s changes, and Revolution Brewing like many breweries that we love, is looking to Oktoberfest with their latest seasonal release. Fueled on a supple base of authentic German malts and tempered by Hallertau hops, Revolution Oktoberfest is 5.7% ABV Märzen Lager that’s as unique as it is traditional.
