5.30-6.3 - Halfway through the year!

So last week, I know, there weren't any daily updates on what is going on in our craft beer scene. It was the last week of school for my kids and things were just a bit busy for me.

But this week and the month of June are packed FULL of fun things to do! Let's start with this week first...

Wednesday-

* MUSIC - Bier Station
* Bike to Boulevard 4-5pm
* MCBC happy hour at The Bar 4-7pm
* Crane + Grains & Taps collaboration, Oude Bruin tapping at Grains & Taps 6-10pm
* Paint & Pint night at Wakarusa Brewing 6-10pm (need to RSVP/register, t.tunget@gmail.com $25)
* Fork & Bottle dinner series feature Cinder Block Brewing at Parker at the Fontaine 6:30-8:30pm (need to RSVP/register/tickets $65 advanced or $75 night of parker@thefontainehotel.com)

Thursday - 
* BINGO - HopCat KC
* MCBC Pub 7th Anniversary 3pm is when the party starts!
* Happy hour at Wakarusa Brewing 4-6pm
* Tiki Night, Crane Brewing & Mission Taco Join collaboration! 4-9pm at Crane Brewing
* KC Pet Project Benefit at The Oliver 5-11pm, 10% of the cost of your meal goes towards KC Pet Project
* Yappy hour at KC Bier Co with Beer Paws at 6pm and the KC Hop Mavens will be out there!
* MUSIC - The Rino

Friday - 
* First Friday's!
* First Friday at Happy Basset Brewing, starting at 11am
* Downtown Days festival in Downtown Lee's Summit 12-4pm
* Happy hour at Wakarusa Brewing 4-6pm
* BBBSKC party at Crane Brewing 5-10pm
* Colony turns 2!! The festivities begin at 5pm
* KC Pride at Brekley Riverfront Park 6pm through the weekend! (need tickets)
* HAMBingo at Hamburger Mary's benefiting Mid-America Bully Breed Rescue
* Jazzoo at the KC Zoo (you will need tickets) 7:30pm

Saturday - 
* Fishing Derby in Baytown 8am-11am
* Big Slick is in town! Block party at Prairie Fire 9-2pm
* Flying Saucer MEGA 10TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY - begins at 11am
* Get Ripped Brewfest at Big Rip 12-4pm, need tickets, AND I'LL BE THERE POURING WITH APEX ALEWORKS!
* Beer & Yoga at Cinder Block Brewery 1-3pm

Parlor KC

Last Saturday I had the amazing opportunity to try out Parlor. A new restaurant concept opening THIS FRIDAY in the Crossroads - 17th and Locust, behind Double Shift ;) It was quite the experience! Seven different restaurants to choose from, two full service bars (one upstairs and one downstairs), several areas to relax, an awesome patio upstairs, and beautiful murals throughout. I had a great time, to say the least. The food. WOW! Incredible. There is something for everyone's tastes there, even my kids' who can be pretty picky. Let's start with the downstairs. When you walk in you are greeted with lovely hosts but also great sitting spaces to just hang out, relax, enjoy. To the right is the living room area.
