November’s arrived and winter’s coming…And we’ve five new seasonal drinking directions that you might want to chase down sooner, rather than later.

Friek Out! (Ft Collins, CO) – Odell Brewing is returning an award winning Cellar Series release, this time in a newly designed and we think a much more practical, 12oz bottle. A unique blend of Framboise, (a raspberry sour ale), and a traditional Lambic Kriek, (a cherry sour ale) Odell Friek is a 6.9% ABC Sour Ale with tart cherry and berry flavors and an effervescent, dry finish.

A Monster Of Cranked Up Flavor (Longmont, CO/Brevard, NC) – That’s how Oskar Blues’ Head of Brewing Operations Tim Matthews describes their latest barrel-aged release. Aged for four seasons in oaken container’s from bourbon’s best distillers, Oskar Blues Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY is a MASSIVE 12.9% ABV Imperial Stout that’s the perfect exercise in excess.

Milking It (Atlanta, GA) – SweetWater Brewing is shipping their latest Hatchery Series release and it’s a homage to those “little pints of chocolate milk you used to enjoy as a kid.” Brewed with lactose and flaked oats to create a silky smooth, sweet and creamy mouthfeel, Sweetwater’s 5.4% ABV Chocolate Milk Stout was crafted with imported Belgian chocolate powder.beer, Beer Alert – Seasonal Sours, Barrel Aged Stouts, and Winter Ales!

Shipping Christmas Beer Too Early For 43 Years  (San Francisco, CA) – Anchor Brewing is usually one of the first out of the gate with their Christmas beers and just three days after Halloween, it appears that they’ve done it again. With its ever-evolving recipe and a different label every year, Anchor’s 2017 Christmas Ale is a 6.7% ABV Winter Warmer with rich cacao, toffee and roasted nuts tones, and subtle hints of honey and herbal spice.

Alt Winter (Bloomington, IN) – Upland Brewing is returning a.’alt-winter’ ale that first made its debut in 2016 as part of their Side Trail Series. Described as an alternative to all those malty winter brews, Upland Latitude Adjustment is a 6.2% Mosaic hop, coconut and pineapple infused Pale Ale that’s cold weather escapism in a bottle.
