4 Craft Breweries Make OUTSIDE’s ‘Best Places to Work 2017’

outside, 4 Craft Breweries Make OUTSIDE’s ‘Best Places to Work 2017’OUTSIDE has just released their annual listing of the best places to work in 2017, and four great American craft breweries made the cut this year, so it’s time to get those resume’s up-to-date.

Allagash Brewing

Allagash Brewing, who’ve generated considerable cred for their Belgian-inspired beers over the years came in at #40 and it does sound like a great place to work.

The Portland, Maine brewing leader affords its 117 employees, four day work weeks and 18 personal days. Plus Outside explains that “employees can submit recipes and brew them for our Pilot Beer Program. Many of these go on to a larger brew production,” and who wouldn’t want to be in on that!

Ska Brewing

outside, 4 Craft Breweries Make OUTSIDE’s ‘Best Places to Work 2017’We believe that this is the first time that Ska Brewing (#82) has made Outside’s annual list and the Durango, Colorado Company’s 72 employees have got to be psyched! Add to that the company’s gracious vacation policy (15 PTO) and the best perk of all FREE BEER!

According to Outside, “Each employee receives two shift beers after they are done working their scheduled shift. This encourages employees to hang out at the brewery with their co-workers outside of working hours.” (Yah think?)

New Belgium’s Kim Jordan

New Belgium Brewing

This Fort Collins, Colorado (and now Asheville, North Carolina) brewing leader always seems to make this list…What with an average salary of $86,300 and 14 days of personal time, this employee-owned company is a sweet place to work.

Coming in at #83 this year this progressive and forward-looking brewery is all about the outdoors and caring for the earth and “coworkers are encouraged to bike to work by being given a bicycle on their one-year anniversary.”

Deschutes Brewery

Deschutes (#93) currently employs a family of 526 beer lovers…They also afford their employees a stock ownership plan and even offer yoga in their private event space. And working in a beer and outdoor adventure destination Bend, Oregon doesn’t suck either.
