Fall beer season is ON and winter’s just around the corner…And we’ve five interesting craft beer directions that you might need to chase down as the weather cools…

Drinking Truthfully (Milton, DE) – Dogfish Head recently released a new beer as part of their Art Series where the brewery teams up with a noted artist to create a label worthy of the seasonal beer. This time they worked with Marq Spusta, a California-based artist known for his distinct illustrative style, to create the label and artwork for Liquid Truth Serum IPA, an artful 6.8% ABV India Pale Ale that truthfully, won’t disappoint.

Rahr Jacks Things Up (Ft Worth, TX) – In November Rahr & Sons will releasing a cold-weather seasonal that was aged in Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey barrels for the first time. A bronze medal winner at the 2015 US Open Beer Championship, Rahr’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Winter Warmer promises welcome warmth as winter draws nearer.

A Good Beer And Cause (Larkspur, CA) – Marin Brewing has a new single hop and malt IPA  that they crafted to help victims of northern California’s devastating fires. Brewed with 100% Gambrinus Pale 2-row malted barley and 100% Mosaic hops, Irma IPA is 7% ABV India Pale Ale that hopes to make a difference. (Marin Brewing Company will be donating a portion of the beer’s sales to the King Ridge Foundation to help recent fire victims).

A fresh-hopped variation of their flagship Dogtown Pale, Lagunitas Born Yesterday Pale Ale is a 7% ABV, lupulin-infused and un-kilned take on a classic.

Sleigh Ride (Eugene, OR) – The Pacific Northwest is home to so many great breweries and Ninkasi Brewing is definitely one of them. And their popular winter seasonal is a perfect example of the places they’re willing to go. Comparatively rare stylistically, Ninkasi Sleigh’r Winter Ale is a rich, malt-forward 7.2% ABV Doüble Alt Ale, that was brewed to warm the heart when nothing else will.
